On May 20th, client Women Who Code held its first benefit of 2015, which attracted a crowd of nearly 200 attendees, including executives from Sony, Google, Accenture, and Box, along with Partners from Bay area Venture Capital firms.
Several major updates were made public at the benefit, which raised $50,000 for the 501c3 non-profit organization, including the announcement of the launch of the Birmingham, AL Network and the Medellin, Colombia Network. In total, Women Who Code’s worldwide impact now includes 53 cities spanning 18 countries.
Of note, major event sponsors included Capital One, Zendesk, Etsy, Lyft, NewsCorp, Pole To Win, and Infinidat. Other sponsors included WISE PR and we strongly support the mission of Women Who Code.
